April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) began her musical journey in the 7th grade when she started piano and guitar classes. At the age of 12 She composed her debut single Different. She spent a lot of time when she was 14 writing songs and practicing music. After a while, she began to go on trips with her dad and to write songs in NY and LA. April was also able to add other themes in the song "Take My Hand" to help her acquaintances who faced concerns like peer pressure issues, or even teenager suicide. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer who has a growing fan base. She works with popular brand Ilia together, as well as being a lifestyle expert. The truth is that she was born with no left hand and that creates her unique. It's not the only characteristic of her. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook her disability. However, it doesn't insist on her disability. What message does it convey? It is important to remember that we all have many faces, our identities are diverse and we're greater than the bodies we wear. It's not my intention to let that determine me. Still, she acknowledges going through periods of feeling insecure about her body, and also feeling uneasy wearing certain clothing styles which showed her arms. She now wears whatever she likes. And she posts her pictures to social media. Self-love, she says is a journey. I'm not sure whether you'll get to the point of no return. This is true for everyone regardless of level of insecurity.
